Who I Am

Fascinated by the intricacies and beauty of nature, I’m a passionate gardener with over 35 years of experience playing in the dirt. I began working in my Uncle Joe’s greenhouse planting seedlings at age 11 and have been hooked ever since. As I raised my young children and spent hours outside with them year round, I began embellishing our home environment and creating space that was beautiful and sustainable. As my children participated in Little Diggers preschool programs, I grew along with them obtaining a Master Gardener certification from Cornell Cooperative Extension. I’ve designed, installed, and maintained multiple school gardens, volunteered with disabled adults in gardening programs, and even worked with that same Little Diggers program inspiring the love of nature with little ones. When I realized I could turn my passion into a profession, I enrolled in New York Institute of Art and Design for Landscape Design.

After moving to Boulder in May of 2021, I was surprised to see the volume of dissonance between the natural environment and the residential plantings. Almost immediately I committed my land to sustainability; solar panels and a car charger were installed and, naturally, I turned the yard into a xeriscape with drought-resistant, low-maintenance plantings that thrive in high desert environments.

I’d love to help you create an outdoor space that is both beautiful and sustainable for your enjoyment and inspiration.
