It all began over coffee with a friend in August 2023. Her family was building a new home and had a contract with a design build firm. However, when it came to select plants, they asked her for a list of what she wanted with no guidance. I asked her some questions including, “Would you like it to be a haven for pollinators?” and “Yes!” was her reply. She hired me that day to help her select the plants for the property and instructed the design build firm that I would be doing the placements. And so it began. I suggested. She and I selected. They purchased. I placed. They planted, irrigated, installed lighting and mulched. The outcome is indeed exquisite and a playground for pollinators from May until October. The family tells me how delightful it is to watch the hummingbirds play all summer long. This garden is a stunner that continues to bloom.
