A Timeless Classic

The Dream:

To create an exquisite, private outdoor space for a historic landmark and family home situated on a busy corner in the City of Boulder complete with new features: an outdoor kitchen, wall water feature, cabana, fire pit, platform swing, and hot tub.

This garden design blended legacy gardens with desires of the clients focused on privacy and functionality. Privacy, noise buffer, and wind breaks were key components of this plan. In partnership with the installer and local nurseries, mature evergreens were relocated. Multiple stone walls matching the existing stone work on the property were erected to create elevated gardens and recreational space. Many existing plants were relocated and blended with new additions in accordance with the client’s preference for more formal gardens. This is multiyear project continue coming to fruition, however the garden is aflutter with continuous color blending mature privacy evergreens, drought tolerant plants and family favorites attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. A majority of the garden was created from scratch; what an incredible outdoor space this family can now enjoy!
